The Hornby TT:120 model is a faithful rendition of a useful little covered van, with intricate planking detail, separately fitted brake equipment, and a crisp paint application.

The covered ventilated van was an extremely common sight across the country during the time of the ‘Big Four’ and early British Railways, with each of the four and BR themselves building thousands to various designs with the intention that they would carry all manner of goods – from canned food and bananas to cement and fertiliser. 

TT6068 is an example of a Ventilated Van in Bauxite Brown livery, adorned with ‘Fyffes’ labels and ‘Banana’ marking, numbered B880681.
